Elcometer Marine Kit 1 Standard

The Elcometer Marine Inspection Kits have been specifically designed for this purpose and contain all the equipment required by the Marine Coatings Inspector to test and monitor all the parameters stipulated in the new IMO regulation.

The rule states that 90% of all thickness measurements shall be greater than or equal to NDFT (Nominal Dry Film Thickness) and none of the remaining 10% measurements shall be below 0.9 x NDFT. This is one of the hardest standards to calculate and almost impossible without the aid of print outs, calculators or computers.

An Elcometer 456 Digital Coating Thickness Gauge is supplied as standard with each kit. The Elcometer 456 is the world's first and only coating thickness gauge which can be used in accordance with the new PSPC 90/10 rule.
